Starting Decks are preconstructed decks new players unlock by playing the New Player Experience introduced to Arena with the Throne of Eldraine update on September 26, 2019.

Deck name Color Description Rating*
Angelic Army White As a white mage, you command disciplined armies. Enforce order to overwhelm your enemies.
Azure Skies Blue As a blue mage, you control the battlefield through illusions. Always think three steps ahead of your foe.
Out for Blood Black As a black mage, every advantage comes at a cost. Sacrifice whatever is necessary to control the forces of death and darkness.
Dome Destruction Red As a red mage, you revel in the chaos of battle. Fire is your weapon and your inspiration.
Forest's Might Green As a green mage, the natural world is at your command. The power of life itself fuels your magic.
Azorius Senate WhiteBlue Get serious by laying down the law with the Azorius guild.
Orzhov Syndicate WhiteBlack Appreciate the finer things in life and death when you rub elbows with the ghostly Orzhov guild.
Izzet League BlueRed Spark your curiosity the explode onto the scene with the experimental Izzet guild.
House Dimir BlueBlack Little is known about the secretive Dimir guild and we're not talking.
Boros Legion WhiteRed Take power alongside the Boros guild by marching on to the battlefield with a never-ending parade of creatures.
Gruul Clans RedGreen Take a walk on the wild side with the raucous misfits of the Gruul guild.
Selesnya Conclave WhiteGreen Join the family to live in peace and harmony among the Selesnya guild.

On November 17, the preconstructed New Player Experience deck for the White/Blue color combination was replaced.[1] This is the old version:

During the closed beta on July 12, 2018 a first set of ten two colored expansion decks were added to be unlocked through a 30 day quest line. At the open beta launch there were replaced with a different set of 5 decks with a shorter quest line.

On March 20, 2018 Wizards of the Coast revealed ten starting decks which were available with the following patch on March 22, 2018.[2] These were replaced with the first set of 10 unlockable quest decks from the NPE (see above) on July 12, 2018.
